Recommended fabric properties for sewing a knitted helmet:
- Elasticity: The knit fabric should be sufficiently elastic to ensure a comfortable fit on the head.
- Breathability: It is important that the fabric allows the skin to breathe.
- Softness and comfort: Ideally, the fabric should be soft and pleasant to the touch to avoid skin irritation.
The balaclava in the photo is made from Taylor knit fabric.
Fabric consumption:
- Main fabric – 50 cm
- Thread matching the material color – 5 spools (1 for the sewing machine, 4 for the overlocker)
When purchasing fabric, keep in mind that the material may shrink, so be sure to buy 5-10% extra.
